How to install Miro 3.5 on Ubuntu 10.04

This post is over 3 years old, so please keep in mind that some of its content might not be relevant anymore.

Miro 3.5 has been released.
The major improvement, in my personal point of view, is the possibility to convert video and audio files for other devices/OS’ (Android OS for example).

Ubuntu 10.04 is bundled with Miro 3.0 though. To upgrade it, a new repository needs to be added. We add it with:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pcf/miro-releases

then we update the source list:

sudo apt-get update

and install/upgrade Miro to the latest version:

sudo apt-get install miro

Enjoy the file conversion…
